Support

Most problems can be resolved from the popup without opening Codex Settings or the Usage page.

The popup asks me to sign in

Select Sign in to ChatGPT and complete sign-in in the same Chrome profile. The extension performs a bounded local recovery check for at most 15 minutes. It never opens a completion tab; the result appears in the next popup you open.

The popup shows saved data

The visible quota is the last successful snapshot, not a new refresh. Check its timestamp, then select Try again. If Chrome is signed out of ChatGPT, use Sign in to ChatGPT.

The percentage differs from the official Usage page

Refresh both views and compare the same account and workspace. The extension shows the metered window returned for the active ChatGPT account. ChatGPT service or plan changes can temporarily prevent a refresh.

I cannot find the extension icon

Open Chrome's Extensions menu in the top-right corner, find Codex Usage, open more options, and select Pin to Toolbar. Pinning is optional but keeps the popup one click away.
